My application code that utilises that buggy JRE is invoked many times a day, but I find it strange that my system was hit by performance issues only 4 months after commissioning. By right, we should have been hit on day one.
Very similar to what was shared, on 2 other similar setups running the exact application, we don’t face this issue.
On the problem server, running “truss java -version”, there’s a long wait at:
open64(“/dev/dtrace/helper”, O_RDWR) = 3
On the other 2 servers, “truss java -version” runs all the way through without halting.
What is causing the bug to appear?
Thanks!

Hi Adam,
Need to check if you can help to dissect this.
Need help on a bug in an old Java version:
