While I've longed to do the equivalent of set -o vi in mdb, I don't have any plans to do that. Maybe someone else out there does.

This looks very, very useful. Thanks! I'm looking forward to using it, once I build the latest illumos sources.

Are there any plans for vim key-bindings? Or customizable key-bindings for mdb?

KVM only works on x86_64 hosts and only runs 32-bit and 64-bit guests. If one was able to bring support for something like KVM to something like the Niagara line, it would only be able to run SPARC guests.

Unfortunately, without porting of the userland libdtrace(3LIB) and dtrace(1M) it won't be as useful. At some point I'm hoping to take a fresh look at the question of the port of those pieces, but moving to glibc from the BSD libc can be quite the undertaking.

Please could you file a bug report describing the changes that need to be done in the kernel? They can probably be added to the stock kfreebsd in Debian.

I assume Joyent has sufficient employees to form a yacht club. I expect great things in the 34th America's Cup in 2013.
